Alain Moffroid

Vice President Customer Development

Born in Belgium, Alain joined Unilever in 1989 after obtaining his degree in Business Engineering from the University of Brussels. 

He started in the marketing department of the Home and Personal Care business, first in market research then in brand management Home and Personal Care. In 1992, he moved to the margarines business in Antwerp as a key account manager, a position he held for four years. In 1996 he went back to Brussels as a marketing manager for the Beverages Business before becoming Marketing Manager for the Ready to Drink Category. 

In 2000, Alain moved to Australia to take on the task of launching a Ready to Drink business, a role which evolved into Business Director Beverages, responsible for the hot and cold portfolio of Tea-Based Beverages. Alain was subsequently appointed to the positions of Vice President of Out of Home, then Vice President New Business. In October 2008, Alain was appointed Vice President Customer Development Unilever Australasia.

Alain is married with four children. Although much of his free time is spent ferrying his children around on evenings and for weekend activities, he still finds time to enjoy his tennis, opera and discovering more of Australia.
